Dr. Bhagwati Swaroop Johari
A Cardiologist by profession,
Dr. Johari was born at Gwalior. After completing
his MD in 1958, he moved to Mumbai.
Was HOD - Medicine at Mahatma Gandhi Smarak
Hospital, Parel(Mumbai). Has served in various
capacities abroad before returning to India
to join P D Hinduja Hospital and Research
center.
Presently into private practice. Known as
a prominent figure in international as well
as Indian medical circles for his profound
research and eighteen publications. He is
also a well known participant in group discussion
in various subjects. His other interests
include extensive reading, research, community
and social service.
His first Hindi publication titled "Kayastha
Parivar : Ek Anveshan", has been an
inspiration for the development of this
site.
Dr. (Mrs.) Pushpa
Johari
A Musician with a Ph.D. in Hindi
and Darshan Shastra, Dr. Pushpa Johari was
born in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. After coming
to Mumbai she served at the SNDT womens
university in the Hindi section.
Dr. Pushpa has numerous publications to
her credit, among them "Sant Namdeo
ka kavya aur sangeet" has been very
well received. She has also been writing
regularly in over twenty regular publications.
She has interest in Indian Classical and
Folk music. Her music has been broadcast
by radio stations in Lucknow and Mumbai.
Dr. Pushpa was felicitated by Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru in 1962.
Her other interests include cultural, social
and academic activities, meeting and weaving
and culinary skills.
